Before I was a designer, I was an early childhood educator. I spent years reading rooms full of people who couldn't articulate what they needed, learning to observe, anticipate, and respond before being asked. That instinct carries into everything I design.
I studied mathematics and design at WashU, and I'm finishing my MHCI+D at the University of Washington. The math isn't decorative. It's how I think. I look for patterns in behavioral data before I sketch, and I pressure-test assumptions with numbers, not gut feel.
I'm drawn to problems where complex information needs to become simple without becoming dumb.
